Wassailing Event Sherwood Forest
17th and 18th January 2026
Are you ready for the return of the Krampus? Join the Outlaws, The Sheriff of Nottingham and The Krampus on Saturday from 11am at Sherwood Forest Visitors Centre. Will the outlaws be able to bless the forest with the Sheriff or will the Krampus upset the proceedings?
Then on Sunday 18th we need you to join our noisy parade and scare away the Krampus from the forest. From 12pm at Sherwood Forest!

Valentines Day Walk
14th February 2026
Join Sherwood’s legendary lovebirds Robin Hood and Maid Marian for this special Valentine’s Day storytelling walk deep into the heart of Sherwood Forest.
Take heed of their tales of deeds and of how the history of the greenwood is intertwined with their timeless romance.

Mothers Day Walk with Robin Hood
15th March 11.30am-1pm
Treat your mum to a Mothers Day experience like no other – a walk in Sherwood Forest with Robin Hood.
Book a ticket (adult or child) and your mum goes for free.
This walk is around 90 minutes and will be packed with some of Robin’s favourite tales of the outlaws and motherly figures from history.
Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome.

St George's Day Celebrations
April 2026
Join us at Sherwood Forest for our St George's day celebrations.
Our Knight's school is running on Saturday 25th April at 11am and 2pm. Tickets are available via the events page:
We will be back on Sunday 26th April with our Knight's gauntlet challenge- a medieval themed obstacle course where you can try and get the fastest time and claim your title!
Pay and Play archery will be running both days from 11am until 3pm. Charges Apply.

Evesham Medieval Market
16th and 17th May 2026
We are back at the annual Evesham Medieval Market. Meet Robin Hood and his merry band across the weekend and join us on our archery range to test your skill and aim.
A brilliant family event in the heart of Evesham and one of our favourite events.

Retford Charter Day
4th May 2026
Retford Charter Day is back on Monday 4th May 2026! Retford’s biggest event of the year will once again be taking over the town centre and Kings Park with all your favourite stallholders and many new ones besides.
This year’s headline entertainment act is the Sherwood Outlaws, who will not only be performing medieval combat demonstrations in the main arena, but will also be bringing their medieval village with them so you can explore the behind-the-scenes experience.

40th Anniversary 2026
It is the big 40!!!! For this years Robin Hood Festival and we are performing across two of the biggest weekends!
Join us on the 8th and 9th of August when our legendary Twinning with Chateau Du Comper - Arthurian Centre sees their team head to England! Our Horse team will be joining the line up on this magical weekend.
Do not miss us on the Bank holiday FINALE weekend 29th-31st August for our exciting combat shows and meet and Greet Characters! It is going to be a festival to remember!

Woodland Festival
25th and 26th May
The Woodland Festival brings together local makers, woodland crafts, family activities, nature talks and much more.
We’re returning to Thoresby Park on 25th and 26th July for a magical weekend, with free entry (car park fees apply), this is the perfect family-friendly festival to reconnect with nature, try new skills, and enjoy time outdoors!
